Also, on Monday, October 25, anyone that is reworking some of their Point, Line and Plane Project, that needs to be turned in.

See you Friday.

Point, Line & Plane Update

There are three different criteria for the point compositions that were up on the board in Wednesday's class. Your compositions will need to be within a 7" x 7" (not 8" x 8") square on your sheet. Here is the list of criteria:
1. Literal
2. Virtual
3. Hierarchy - Combination of literal and virtual with emphasis on ONE as the visually dominant.

I need to see THREE (minimum) compositions of each for a total of nine.

See notes from Wednesday for the explanations on Virtual and Literal.

For those of you that did not have your photos, have them for Friday.

See you then.

For Wednesday, September 1

For Wednesday, Phase II of the Signature Abstract Project should be done. (Adding text as an additional "line" in your composition - total of three with text).

You all should be bringing in the 20 gauge copper wire, (Again, if you can split the cost of the wire, that could save you a buck or two.) nails and a hammer. There is a piece of wood already in the classroom or if you need more, go down to the sculpture room and ask for a scrap piece.

I talked to Joe Benes who runs the commercial photo dept. about you borrowing a camera to shoot the wire signatures and he said there should be one or two available. If you have a camera and want to use it, that is fine. Be sure you have any cables and/or card readers to upload the images to your computer in class. There is a universal card reader down in 151 that should work for most cards.

See you Wednesday!

For Wednesday, August 25

We will be starting the first project on Wednesday. Supplies that you need at the very least are the pad of copy paper and the markers. Remember that we will be needing the 20 gauge copper wire and nails probably for Monday. If a couple of you want to go in together, that would help offset the cost.

See you tomorrow.
